Marine Accident / Incident Investigation Analysis
This course provides an introduction to the purpose & objectives of Marine incident investigations. Every accident or incident is a learning opportunity, but one that could be wasted unless effort put into analyzing it focuses on discovering the true underlying causes of the incident rather than focusing on the people directly involved & the immediate causes of their failure.
If properly investigated, each incident is of high learning value & it is very important that the lessons learnt are put into full use so as to avoid the re-occurrence of the same types of incidents. The only way one can learn the proper lessons is by learning the structured methods of root cause analyses in order to find the true root causes of such incidents. Maritime Labour Convention 2006 Awareness

Risk Assessment and Risk Management Training
This course provides an introduction to the purpose & objectives of Risk Assessment & Management. In this course, the trainee is guided to use the principles of Risk Assessment & Management in carrying out all shipboard operations to prevent the occurrence of any accidents or incidents. This is a proactive approach to avoid accidents onboard. This course aims to equip the trainees with the skills required to carry out Risk Assessment & Management in day to day shipboard operations as per Company specific documentation. Also, they are encouraged to make Risk Assessments in all routine & non-routine activities in order that it becomes an inherent part of the safety culture onboard.
